11/24/2000 We had our first "Senior Citizen's Evangelistic Lunch" today. All of the seniors from our building came. There are only 3. Ira Ida and Laili helped with the cooking. Laili has agreed to be our permanent cook. That frees Molly up to talk with our guests every week.
We started at 12:30 PM with our first guests but we had some late arrivals join us at 2:30 PM. Next week we will start at 5:30 PM because of Ramadan. Our Muslim guests fast while the sun is up during the month of Ramadan. Please pray for the salvation of all of the ladies in these photos. 11/24/2000
12/1/2000 We had our second lunch today. Only one of our seniors returned: "Uruskhanum". Uruskhanum said that Kametni had guests visiting her. We don't know why Buhzoora didn't make it. We also had 1 new lady join us: Aiman. Ira Ida came to help us and brought Rosilia who played a few songs on the Dombra. Laili did the cooking. Molly and I sang 2 hymns in Kazakh. Even though the turnout was low, we know God is in control. It was a nice informal group and we got lots of Kazakh practice!
