Above: Amanda received riding 7 riding lessons at the "Hippodrome" in Almaty. Her teacher Sasha said she had already learned basic riding skills when they started. For Amanda, it was a dream come true.
At Right: Great Fried Rice can be had for a song at the huge "barahoka" bazaar.

Left: Pickle Seller near our house. The pickles here are great! | |
| Right: Fourth grade class of the school near our ministry center. Most of the kids who live in our ministry center apartment building go to this school. The boy in the upper left of the photo is Noorlan. His mom and dad (Eyenash, and Oscar) live there. We visited the class to donate funds to fix their sink so that the kids can wash their hands. We also met with the principal who warned us that evangelizing (to the students) was not allowed. |

Below Kevin was a sponsor and guest of honor at the school's celebration of Kazakhstan's 10 anniversary of independence. On the podium from left to right: The district mayor's husband, Kevin, a local war hero, the district mayor and the school principal (at the podium). The event was taped and aired the national news. They aired a couple of sentences of Kevin's very short speech wishing Kazakhstan a bright future. Right: These are the students whose costumes we sponsored in the school's pageant. |
