All of these students are hearing the gospel every week. We read and discuss passages of scripture and Gospel tracts in class. We also review American phonics (using the ABeka materials that our children used in home school), and play a new game every week. Some of these students are professing faith in Jesus Christ. (Some were already believers when they started.) We are having a great time helping them practice their English and imploring them to be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ. All of our groups started out with 10-12 students. |

At Right: Molly's level 1 Club. Three of these students are in our level 2 and level 3 groups now: Tanya, Oleg, and Sweatlana.
Below left: Grace Church of Dupage Missions Pastor Ray Glinsky speaking to one of our English Clubs.
Below Right: We had 3 monthly Sunday afternoon cook-outs in the summer to get to know our students better. Charcoal briquettes and hamburger buns are hard to come by, and firestarter fluid is nonexistent, but through the grace of God and a little persistence, we gave our students a taste of this American tradition. |

Right: We started out with 30 students in our 3 fall English Clubs and ended up with 7. Here are 4 of those who stuck it out. Tanya (beside Molly) is a French/Russian translator. She completed level 2 and came to our summer cook-outs. She is married and has a son. Goolmira (in white), Vera (in glasses), and Eyenoor (at table far right) completed level 1. Eyenoor has visited our English-speaking church. She is a university student. Goolmira has a daughter 9 and a son 5. Vera is married with no children. They are all great students. Please pray that the Gospel will bear fruit in their hearts. |
