Above We started holding Sunday services in our home in Kalkaman on September 26, 2004.  This was the culmination of 6 years of preparation including 5 years of ministry in Kalkaman.  Praise God! We hold our prayer meeting after service and then share a meal together after that.  We also have a ladies and a men's Bible study every Thursday.  Byeram is our full-time ministry partner.  Together with Molly and the kids we have done most of the remodeling on the new building you see below.

Below:  Remodeling Our Church Building In Kalkaman.  We purchased this building on September 22, 2004.  It is located about 2 miles from our house and 3/4 of a mile from our ministry center.  Most of the homes in the neighborhood are less than 4 years old.  Most of the people are Kazakh speakers.

Clockwise Starting Above Left:   The house as it looked when we bought it.  Working on the fence and wall.

Above Left:  The central hallway looking toward the living room where we will hold services.  Above Right:  The central hallway looking toward back door (which is also the only door except for the garage door at the front of the house.)

RightBelow Right The living room which we will use for Sunday services.

Below Left We plan to divide this bedroom and use one side for an office and the other for a children's classroom.

Below Right:  The other bedroom/children's classroom.

We can hold up to 60 adults in the living room.  When we outgrow that we are going to move to a larger room in the basement that can hold about 120 people.  The basement ceilings are about 12 feet high.  We plan to convert the other half of the basement into a garage/workshop and caretakers quarters.  We hope to start holding services here in November.  We need to lay flooring and install lights and electrical sockets before then.
